21 [a]I have not written unto you, because ye know not the truth: but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.

22 [b]Who is a liar, but he that denieth that Jesus is [c]that Christ? the same is that Antichrist that denieth the Father and the Son.

  1. 1 John 2:21 The taking away of an objection. He wrote not these things as to men which are ignorant of religion, but rather as to them which do well know the truth, yet so far forth that they are able to discern truth from falsehood.
